Bill Martin, 80, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, at his home.

Early in his life, Bill ran several businesses in Henderson before becoming a contractor. He loved his family, friends, and life. He enjoyed good food, laughs, sports, and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Wilma Gabe Martin; one son, Bruce Martin; and his parents, William and Lillian Martin.

Survivors include two sons, Marcus Martin and his wife, Cindy, of Henderson, Kentucky, and Billy Martin and his wife, Nancy Crutcher Martin, of Goshen, Kentucky; one daughter, Candace Martin of Newburgh, Indiana; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Wanda Majors of Henderson, Kentucky; and his caregivers, Marie Henderson, Faye Bridges, and Jeri Givens, all of Henderson, Kentucky.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Father Patrick M. Bittel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ron Bugg, Jr., Wes Bugg, Mike Farmer, Glenn Cohen, Mike Hazelwood, Mitchell Hazelwood, Gary G. Schneider, and Jerel L. Schneider.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Bennett, Hugh Hazelwood, John Chapman, Ron Bugg, Sr., Neal Sigler, Eddie Heerdink, and Paul Martin
