Virginia "Ginger" Garms, 80, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died July 25, 2017.

Ginger was born in Marthaville, Louisiana, on January 17, 1937.  She lived 45 years in Louisville, Kentucky, and moved to Henderson, Kentucky, in 2016 to be close to her daughter and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Wyatt; and three sisters, Ernie Adams, Loretta Ruth, and Polly Crowe.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Fred Garms; her devoted daughter, Allison Morris and her husband, Dr. William "Bill" Morris, of Henderson, Kentucky; four wonderful grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madeline, Maclaine, and Macy; one sister, Doris Lewis and her husband, David; cousins; and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

A memorial service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky.
