Tara Lyn Ray Mayfield, 53, of Henderson, Kentucky, entered eternal life Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on August 25, 1971, to Larry A. Ray and Marsha Williams Ray.

Tara enjoyed spending her free time out on the lake with all of her loved ones, where she was the life of the party. No one who met Tara could forget her infectious smile.

She has reunited with her late son, Austin Ray Mayfield; and her grandparents, Joe and Edith Ray and Warren and Peggy Williams.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Mayfield of Henderson, Kentucky; one son, Wesley Mayfield of Henderson, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Hadley Mayfield of Henderson Kentucky; her father, Larry A. Ray of Henderson, Kentucky; her mother, Marsha Williams Ray of Henderson, Kentucky; aunts and uncles; cousins; and many friends.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Private family burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
