Shirley Mattingly Tigue, 87, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 11:39 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at St. Anthony's Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center surrounded by her family.

She was a lifelong member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Shirley was a loving wife, mom, memaw, and mamaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward "Joe" Tigue; her parents, George and Lula Mattingly; eight siblings; and one great-grandson, Griffin Risley.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and John Dodson of Henderson, Renee and Kevin French of Morganfield, Joella and Steve Wilson of Henderson, and Terri Tigue of Huntingburg, Indiana; six grandchildren, Whitney Dodson Risley and her husband, Nick, Logan Dodson, Isaac French, Kelsie Wilson and her fiancé, Kyle Herrenbruck, Ashlee Wilson, and Sophie Petry; three great-grandchildren, Harper, Merritt, and Lofton Risley; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Monday, June 12, 2023, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, and until 11 a.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be John Dodson, Kevin French, Steve Wilson, Nick Risley, Logan Dodson, and Isaac French.
