Obituary

Sherry Lynn Carter, 64, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at her home.

Sherry was born in Newburgh, Indiana, on October 29, 1959, to the late Don and Sharon Robinson.  She was a blessing to everyone who knew her.  Sherry was a beloved wife and mother.  She had many talents.  Sherry was an excellent seamstress and artist and had an incredible skill for growing things.  People would bring their dying plants to her, and she would nurse them back to health.  She loved the simple things in life.  Sherry loved sitting on her patio listening to music and tending to her plants.  She had a lot of flare in the clothes she wore and was not one to go with the trends.  Sherry did her own thing and was a beautiful soul inside and out.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Paul R. Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Charles "Chuck" Carter; two sons, David Cobb and Scott Cobb, both of Newburgh, Indiana; two stepchildren, Brittney Carter and Robert Carter, both of Evansville, Indiana; three sisters, Judy Cron of Newburgh, Indiana, Norma Barnett formerly of Evansville, Indiana, and Stacie McDonald of Newburgh, Indiana; one brother, Dan Robinson of Evansville, Indiana; her mother-in-law, Donna Sue Wilson of Henderson, Kentucky; her sister-in-law, Robyn Carter Crain and her husband, Brian, of Dover, Tennessee; nieces and nephews; and her dog, Dutchess.

Sherry requested no public funeral service.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
