Rochele Linn Dixon Tapp, 46, of Henderson, Kentucky, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

Born August 27, 1971, in Henderson, Kentucky, Rochele became a part of the Henderson community graduating from HCHS in 1988 and receiving a degree in Nursing from HCC in 2003.  It was from that point Rochele began a career in nursing which spilled over into her everyday life as she made it her duty to not only take care of patients but her family as well.  There aren't enough words to express how great of a woman Rochele was.  She was loved by communities ranging from Henderson to Lexington, Kentucky, leaving her mark on both.  As the family mourns her loss and misses her dearly, we know she has finally found her peace and happiness that she fought for.  That alone brings us comfort which will help us in the end.  God gave us one of His best soldiers for 46 years.  He wanted her back; He needed her back. We can't be selfish as they're together and happy now.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Powell; and one grandmother, Thelma Hawes.

Rochele is survived by her 3 children, Bryce, Brooke and Bryan; her mother, Linda Johnson; her stepfather, Paul Johnson; her grandmother, Mary Dixon; one sister, Alethea Hunter; one stepsister, Brittany Posey; one stepbrother, Wyndal Johnson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

Memorial services will be at noon Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Henderson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
