Robert Jerome "Bob" Bolds, Jr., 78, of Smith Mills, Kentucky, died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017, at St. Vincent of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Waverly, Kentucky.  Bob graduated in 1957 from St. Vincent Academy.  He was a Henderson County farmer who raised ginseng and was also a fur buyer.  Bob served as a Kentucky Conversation Officer and a Federal Game Warden and received the Outstanding Kentucky Conservation Officer of the Year for two years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jerome "R.J." Bolds, Sr., who died December 18, 2008, and Mary Greenwell Bolds, who died September 14, 2015.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bettye Lou Bolds; three children, Twila Bolds Ilgenfritz and her husband, Kurt, of Houston, Texas, Daniel "Butch" Bolds of Smith Mills, Kentucky, and Dawn Rheam and her husband, Jesse, of Milton, Florida; four grandchildren, Cassidy Bolds Brown, Danielle Bolds, Bo Ilgenfritz, and Summer Wilhour; one great-grandchild, Hazel Grace Brown.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church.  Father Dave Johnson will officiate.  Private family burial will be in Bolds Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.  Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Bo Ilgenfritz, Larry Adamson, Jesse Rheam, James Brown, Kurt Ilgenfritz, Raymond Kanipe, Sam Kanipe, Tommy Fowler, Randy Hagan, and Dan Thomas.
