Rebecca Joan Sugg Cassidy, 70, of Santa Claus, Indiana, formerly of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

She was born in Gary, Indiana, on August 12, 1951, to the late Rayburn Sugg, Jr., and Joan Rouse Sugg.  Her family was the most important part of her life.  Rebecca and her husband, John Cassidy, considered themselves the Cassidy team for the four years they were together.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Judy Rae Sugg.

Survivors include her husband, John Cassidy; two sons, Luke Hargis of Indian Shores, Florida, and Slade Hargis and his wife, Katie, of Henderson, Kentucky; four stepchildren, Jennifer Scherzinger, Julie Aull, Ryan Cassidy, and Jill Scudder; one brother, John D. Sugg and his wife, Susan Wright Sugg, of Henderson; one sister, Mary Pat Anderson and her husband, Andy, of Mobile, Alabama; two stepbrothers, Rod Sugg of Henderson, Kentucky, and Ben Kasey of Bedford, Indiana; four grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Elder Andy Anderson and Mark Wright will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
