Ray Payne, 67, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, after a long illness.

Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Signs Now and Energy Landmen.  Ray was devoted to his family, hard working, and those who knew him will remember his unique sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Neel Payne, and his sister, Sandy Nobles.

Survivors include his wife, Libby; one son, Taylor Payne; one daughter, Lindsay Payne Phillips and her husband, Chad; his father, Robert Payne; his adored granddaughters, Allison and June Phillips; his nephew, David Nobles and his wife, Shelley; and other nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services at this time.  Family and friends will gather at a later time to share memories and celebrate Ray's life.

Expressions of sympathy, if desired, may take the form of donations to Ray's favorite charities: Humane Society of Henderson County, Henderson County Diabetes Coalition, or American Cancer Society.
