Nancy Hayden, 91, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, Kentucky.

She was born to the late Algah and Annie Mae Osborne in Daviess County, Kentucky, on October 4, 1930, and grew up in Owensboro.  Nancy married Paul, her lifelong husband, and moved to Henderson, where together they raised three children.  She was a devoted member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and regularly attended mass there until she could no longer walk from complications of Parkinson's disease over the past few years.  After a career as a bookkeeper and retiring from Pittsburg Tank and Tower, she went on to start a successful craft store, Backdoor Friends, in downtown Henderson with her daughters.  She cherished holiday times with family and especially loved the times of Christmas and Easter.  Nancy enjoyed the changing seasons and looked forward to the blooming of Spring flowers and the bright colors of the Fall leaves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hayden, who died in 1999; and her daughter, Paulette Griggs, who died in 2007.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Anderson and her husband, B.J., of Henderson; one son, Dr. Gregory Hayden and his wife, Rhea, of Evansville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all in the tristate area.

Funeral services will be at noon Monday, August 29, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022, and until 11 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2022, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 3 p.m. Sunday.
