Mary Janet Williams, 95, died October 20, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.

She grew up in Harlan, Kentucky, and met her husband, Bill, there when he visited a cousin of his. They lived in Atlanta for awhile before settling in Henderson.  After her youngest child started school, she went to college and earned her Masters degree in Education.  After retiring from teaching at Lodge School in Evansville, she and Bill enjoyed traveling, and spending winters in Florida.  Their greatest pleasure was seeing the great-grandchildren join the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill C. Williams; her parents, Webster Q. Cochran and Marjorie Comstock Cochran; and her sister, Ann Reiley Milne.

Survivors include her three children, Jo Anne Williams of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael Williams of Henderson, Kentucky, and Patricia Kushino and her husband, Brett, of Northbrook, Illinois; two grandchildren, Justin Williams and his wife, Kristi, and Sean Williams and his wife, Erica; and four great-grandchildren, Dagen, Tayten, Merrick, and Hannah Williams.

A private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
