Mary Sue Abner, 62, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, formerly of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at her home.

She was born April 3, 1960, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Dr. Willis Berton Blue, Sr., and Jewel K. "Judy" Blue.

Sue was an intellectual particularly in the field of psychology where she completed multiple degrees including two master's degrees in clinical and forensic psychology.  She worked many years for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services in both the Henderson and Hopkinsville offices in her pursuit of her goal to help others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Dr. Willis Berton "W.B." Blue, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Joshua D. Abner and his wife, Brooke, of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Matthew Bradley Abner and his wife, Leyna, of Evansville, Indiana; two sisters, Martha Ann Jones of Henderson, Kentucky, and Kay DePeppe and her husband, Gerald, of Dallas, Texas; cousins; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
