Margaret Joan Woodring, 93, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at St. Anthony's Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.

She was born in Wales, United Kingdom, on December 30, 1926.  During World War II, Joan worked in an airplane factory in England.   She eventually moved to the United States with her family and worked as a buyer for Jacobson's in Lavonia, Michigan.  Joan married Lloyd Hickman Woodring and moved to Henderson, Kentucky.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she worked in St. Ann's Guild.  Joan also volunteered at Methodist Hospital for 30 years and Christian Outreach for 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hickman Woodring, who died in 1982.

Survivors include her sister, Rita Ender and her husband, Hank, of Apopka, Florida; her stepson, Bruce Woodring and his wife, Shelba, of Henderson, Kentucky; her stepdaughter, Judy Woodring of Morganfield, Kentucky; four stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial services at a later date at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
