Loralee “Lala”
Harmon Douglas
Feb 24, 1940 — Sep 12, 2026
Henderson
Loralee "Lala" Harmon Douglas, 86, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Loralee was born on February 24, 1940, in Quincy, Illinois. To her family and those who loved her, she was affectionately known as "LaLa", a cherished name shared by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
LaLa was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and woman of faith. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Henderson and a faithful servant of the Lord. Her faith was an important part of her life and remained a source of strength throughout her years.
Above all else, LaLa loved her family. Her nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren were truly the pride and joy of her life. Watching her family grow through the generations brought her tremendous happiness, and the love she had for each of them was immeasurable.
Loralee is survived by her four children, Jon Douglas (Sandy Septer), Jeff Douglas (Judy Pike), Joel Douglas (Dana), and Jill Goldsberry (Jeff); and her daughter-in-law, Kim Douglas.
She is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren, Stefon Douglas (Megen Brown), Jacob Douglas (Linzi), Eli Douglas (Madi), Lauren Likens (Rob), Logan Douglas (Morgan Thompson), Macie Woodard (Wesley), Mason Douglas (Kelly), Trace Grant (Abbie), and Tanor Grant (Téa Shepherd).
LaLa's legacy continues through her thirteen precious great-grandchildren: Conner, Cole, Emerson, Drew, Alaina, Stella, Colter, Hallie Grace, Quinton, Myles, Dawson, Brooks, and Lorelai. Each held a special place in her heart, and being their LaLa was one of the greatest joys of her life.
Loralee was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Harmon; her sister, Joann Roberts; her brother-in-law, Sydney Roberts; her son-in-law, Conway Grant; and her beloved husband of 36 years, Gerald "Jay" Douglas.
LaLa leaves behind far more than names on a family tree. She leaves behind generations who knew her love, a family shaped by her presence, and countless memories that will continue to be shared for years to come. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will carry with them the love, lessons, traditions, and faith she gave throughout her 86 years.
While her family will deeply miss her presence, they find comfort in the faith that guided her throughout her life and in knowing that their faithful LaLa has been called home to the Lord.
She was Loralee to some, Mom to her children, but to the generations who were the pride and joy of her life, she will forever be their beloved LaLa.
