Lillian Faye Hout, 92, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

She was born in Clay City, Illinois, on August 22, 1930, to the late Verl and Merl Holmes.  Lillian was a loving wife, mother, and Mi-Mi.  She was a volunteer at the former Methodist Hospital.  Lillian was always dressed immaculately with a beautiful smile.  She was loved and will be missed by many.  Lillian was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Darrel E. Hout, who died July 31, 2018; and one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Laine Shelton and her husband, Bill, of Henderson, Kentucky, and Gena Ann Hout of Fishers, Indiana; three grandchildren, Derek Shelton and his wife, Sara, of Henderson, Kentucky, Jordan Howard and his wife, Amanda, of Fishers, Indiana, and Brett Howard and his wife, Brittney, of San Francisco, California; five great-grandchildren, Sheridan Oldham, Alyssa Shelton, Sonny Shelton, Andy Howard, and Cameron Howard; nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family service.

There will be no visitation.

Contributions may be made to Chapel Hill Methodist Church.
