Kirk Allen Barnes, 63, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Anthony's Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center with his loving family at his side.

He was born April 27, 1961, in Henderson, Kentucky, to Donald W. Barnes and Jerry Ann Nunley Barnes.  For 32 years, Kirk worked for Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group where he was a Purchasing Agent until he retired due to his illness.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and highly enjoyed sports of all kinds.  Most importantly, Kirk loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jerry Ann Nunley Barnes.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Angie Barnes; two daughters, Whitney Talley and her husband, Aaron, of Evansville, Indiana, and Ariel Almand and her husband, Brad, of Charlotte, North Carolina; his father, Donald W. Barnes of Henderson, Kentucky; one brother, Danny Barnes and his partner, Steve Johnson, of Lexington, Kentucky; three stepchildren, Dr. Joshua Kitchens and his wife, Shannon, of Henderson, Kentucky, Shayla Horst and her husband, Robbie, of Troy, Illinois, and Destani Barnes and her husband, Justin, of Sommerset, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; and many aunts and uncles.

Services will be at noon Monday, May 20, 2024, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Pastor Mike Pyle will officiate.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
