Joyce Watkins Barron Bumgardner, 78, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Majestic Care of Newburgh in Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on April 14, 1947, to the late Paul Thomas Watkins and Joyce Wanda Simons Watkins Brown.  Joyce was a retired registered nurse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Ray Barron; and her second husband, John Bumgardner.

Survivors include her son, Shane Barron of Canton, Georgia; two sisters, Dr. Judy Mills and her husband, Johnny, of Marietta, Georgia, and Paula Crowe and her husband, Bill, of Newburgh, Indiana; one uncle, Dr. David Watkins and his wife, Peggy, of Henderson, Kentucky; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Billy Egbert will officiate.  Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
