Josephine "Jo" Ann Hurt Davis, age 95, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Redbanks Nursing Home.

Born on April 2, 1929, Jo was the daughter of the late Edward Hurt and Agnes Rothenroefer Hurt Kellow and grew up in Corydon, Kentucky, with her late siblings, Nancy Hurt Chandler and Edward Hurt.

Jo was married to Donald C. Davis in 1948, who passed away in 2005.  Together, they built a life of love, adventure, and accomplishment.  Jo co-founded Don Davis Aviation with Don in the early 1950s, and for over three decades, she served as a flight instructor, helping to inspire generations of pilots.  Her love for aviation and her commitment to teaching left a lasting mark on the community.

Jo was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where her compassion and service were known to all.  Outside of her professional life, Jo was an active member of the Willard Backpack and Hiking Club, where she shared her love for the outdoors and fostered friendships with fellow adventurers.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Davis Blaisdell and Glenda Ann Davis; her grandson, Jon Becker (Kara Greenwell Becker); her great-grandson, Max G. Becker; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry her memory forward.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  The Reverend Alan Chamness will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Redbanks Nursing Home or St Anthony's Hospice.
