Joseph "Joe" Theriot, 88, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church where he served as an usher.  Joe was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Lewis Bakery in Evansville, Indiana.  Joe was an avid sports fan.  For more than 24 years, he attended virtually every game at the PCMA field in Henderson and supported the Henderson County Colonels in all sports.  Each week, Joe visited local nursing homes and assisted living facilities bringing smiles to the residents.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret; one daughter, Shelia Bantly and her husband, Jim, of Henderson, Kentucky; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at noon Thursday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to Henderson PCMA or Henderson County High School Athletic Department.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Minton, George Day, J.R. Hale, Mark Trowbridge, Jim Willett, and Sonny Ward.
