John Lynn Wood, 66, of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

John was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on October 16, 1956, to the late Aubrey and Helen Wood.  He was a 1974 graduate of Henderson County High School and attended Indian River Community College in Florida where he played baseball.  John was a lifelong farmer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching baseball.  The joy of his life was his son, Caleb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Richard Edward Wood.

Survivors include his son, Caleb Wood of Henderson, Kentucky; his twin brother, James Wood of Henderson, Kentucky; four additional siblings, Jane McDonald, Diana Wood, Steven Wood, and Kathy Daigle, all of Henderson, Kentucky; one niece, Done' McAlvain of Henderson, Kentucky, three nephews, Andrew Wood and Eric Wood, both of Henderson, Kentucky, and James Edward Wood of Pikeville, Kentucky; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at Fairmont Cemetery.  Pastor Shane Amar will officiate.

There will be no visitation.
