John Wesly Proctor, 66, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021.

John was born to the late Robert Lee and Mary Lou Proctor in Evansville, Indiana, on November 22, 1954.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Mark Proctor.

John enjoyed being a dad and everything that came with it—basketball coach, marching band pit crew, soccer coach, football coach, and volleyball fan.  John loved spending summer on the boat with his family and his favorite first mate, Daisy.  He was instrumental in bringing the Upward basketball program to Western Kentucky, serving over 1000 children, and ministering to their families.  The last eleven years of his life were spent fulfilling his favorite role of "Pop-pop" and supporting his grandchildren in their various sports and activities.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kristin Mullen Proctor.  They were blessed with four children, Stephanie Proctor Smith (Scott), Stacey Proctor Fish (Nate), Andrew Lee Proctor (Lacey), and Meredith Kathryn Proctor and grandchildren, Caleb Andrew Fish, Mason Wesly Smith, Adley Faye Proctor, Caroline Michelle Fish, Mabrey Lynn Smith, Remus Lupin Proctor, and in June welcoming Knox David Proctor.  John is also survived by brothers, Stephen Proctor (Karen) and Dale Proctor (Jerri) and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many in-laws.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  The Reverend Mary M. Wrye will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
