Joanna Florence Kozlowski, age 82, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully in Newburgh, Indiana on Monday, June 1, 2026.  She was born on July 27, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey, to Joanna and Casimir Sady.

Her father bravely fought in the Battle of Normandy and was a casualty of combat on July 25, 1944, earning a Purple Heart.  Joanna moved with her mother to El Cajon, California, when she was six years old. She graduated from the University of San Diego College for Women in 1965 and became a schoolteacher for several years.

Joanna married Ludwik Kozlowski, M.D. in 1967 and became a full-time homemaker as they raised four children, all with careers of their own.  Her hobbies were reading, painting, music and traveling.  She traveled extensively in the US, including to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Mexico, Europe and the Caribbean.

She is survived by her husband Ludwik Kozlowski, M.D.; her children: Krystyna Crawford (Brent), Carl Kozlowski, Ludwik Kozlowski Jr., and Nick Kozlowski (Leslie); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous cousins.

Her funeral will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, Kentucky, and her entombment will be at Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
