James Donald "Wolfie" Wolfe, 56, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Union County, Kentucky, on April 5, 1965, to Rita June and Arnold Wolfe.  Wolfie retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and presently worked for the Henderson County School System at South Middle School as the School Administrator.  He had a passion for sports especially golf.  Wolfie shared his knowledge of sports through coaching basketball, football, baseball, track, and volleyball.  Most importantly, he loved his family especially his long awaited for grandchildren.  He was also a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by two nieces, Katie and Shara Rigdon; and his parents-in-law, Harlan and Janet Roberts.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Myrna; two children, Jesse Young and his wife, Whitley, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Rebecca Wolfe Crook and her husband, Brennen, of Bossier City, Louisiana; his parents, Arnold and Rita June Wolfe of Morganfield, Kentucky; two siblings, Kena Rigdon of Morganfield, Kentucky, and Amy Thomas of Henderson, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Charles Crook and Raelynn Crook; cousins; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Morganfield, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be John Arnold, Austin Durham, Michael Rigdon, Jesse Young, David Garrett, Zachary Tennyson, Jeffery Sutton, and Brennen Crook.
