James L. "Buddy" Hall, 82, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church.  Buddy was a Master Builder for 40 years and a past member of Homebuilders Association.  He was also a Mason and a Shriner and a past member of the Henderson Moose Lodge and Henderson Elks Lodge.  Buddy was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them outside around his pool.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carol Sue Rhoads Hall, who died February 9, 2013; his parents, Byron Hollis and Lalah Belle Vowel Hall; one brother, Charles Robert Hall; and his lifelong friend, Oscar "Skip" Martin.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hall Frederick and her husband, Earl, of Corydon, Kentucky, and Sara Hall Kirsch (Raye) of Henderson, Kentucky; one sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Thompson of Henderson, Kentucky; one brother, Byron H. Hall and his wife, Mary Jane, of San Antonio, Texas; three grandsons, James E. Wood and his wife, Christie, of Pikeville, Kentucky, Cole Frederick and his girlfriend, Katie O'Keefe, and Travis Frederick, both of Corydon, Kentucky; nieces and nephews; cousins; and his boxer and loyal companion, Carlton.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  The Reverend James Wofford will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Earl Frederick, James Wood, Cole Frederick, Travis Frederick, Ben Burnley, and Brett McClure.
