Gerald F. Farris, 86, of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord at 8:06 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Methodist Hospital.

He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.  He was raised in Crossville, Illinois, where he graduated from Crossville High School.  Gerald worked in the oil industry for 47 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Baily and Opal Mae Jenkins Farris; one sister, Audrey Lee Farris.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Emma Bernice Farris; two sons, Gerald Lance Farris and his wife, Brucie, and Victor Lynn Farris, both of Henderson, Kentucky; one brother, Chester Baily Farris of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Daniel Farris, Gerald Farris, and Kelli Farris; two great-grandchildren, Payton Farris and Dylan Farris.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Crossville, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
