Fred Garms, 81, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, died Monday, December 18, 2017.

Fred was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 20, 1936.  Along with his late wife, Ginger, he moved to Henderson, Kentucky, in 2016 to be close to their daughter and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Virginia "Ginger" Garms, who died July 25, 2017; his parents, Fred and Elizabeth Garms; two sisters, Betty Jo Murphy and Donna Connor; two brothers, William Garms and Robert Garms.

Survivors include his devoted daughter, Allison Morris and her husband, Dr. William "Bill" Morris, of Henderson, Kentucky; four wonderful grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madeline, Maclaine, and Macy; three sisters, Mary Lou Lewis, Carolyn Reker, and Ann Harper; cousins; and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Louisville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be at a later date at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky.
