She loved the Lord, and over the years, the family attended Earl Street Baptist Church, Watson Lane Baptist Church, and Airline Baptist Church.
Florence was met in Heaven by her late husband of 49 years, Robert "Bob" Brooks; her daughter, Sheila Ann Glunt Stephenson; her parents; and her siblings.
She is survived by two daughters, Anita Kay Biggs (Mike) of Florida and Nancy Karen Parker (Audie) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Alesha Hicks (Bobby Dean), Lori Hatfield (Adam), and Michael Biggs II (Latasha), all of Henderson, and Kelli Ellis (Jason) of Florida; fourteen great-grandchildren, Ethyn Hicks (Jada), Tytus Willett, Claire and Chloe Biggs, Preston and Paige Goldsberry, Evelynn and Lydia Valentine, Kennedy, Reagan and Gracelyn Hatfield, and Jase, Kaleb and Logan Ellis; and three great-great-grandchildren with another due in July.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Reverend Nathan Whisnant will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
