Eva Dean Newman, 87, of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

She was a member of Water's Edge Church.  Eva Dean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved being with her family and friends.  She was an avid seamstress and adored her dogs.  Eva Dean retired from the former Gamco Products.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George W. Newman, who died May 3, 2010; her parents, Frank and Lillian Hendricks; one grandson, Sean Newman; one son-in-law, Walter Lee Luntsford; three sisters, Juanita Patterson, Alice Hoffman, and Eula Dean Downs; and two brothers, Jim Hendricks and Morris Hendricks.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenna Dean Luntsford of Henderson, Kentucky, and Gayle Griggs and her husband, Jeff, of Bardstown, Kentucky; five sons, Wesley Newman and his wife, Martha, Jim Newman and his wife, Lisa, William Newman and his wife, Deborah, Steve Newman and his wife, Becky, and Roger Newman and his wife, Kathy, all of Henderson, Kentucky; two sisters, Della Woodard and Margaret Turner, both of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Dr. Ron Osborne will officiate.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her family.
