Eural "Herbie" Lewis, 65, of Henderson, Kentucky, gained his wings on Sunday, October 23, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on October 23, 1957.  After graduating from Henderson County High School, Herbie worked with his dad at Lewis and Sons Furniture Store on Second Street, and he also spent time working as a painter for Lewis's Painting.

Eventually Herbie moved to Florida where he worked at the Maverick Condominiums in Daytona Beach.  Later he launched his own business, Lewis's Landscaping.  Herbie enjoyed deep sea fishing.  After many years in the Sunshine State, Herbie returned to Kentucky where he continued to work in construction and maintenance for Warren Apartments in Evansville, Indiana.  During this time, his passion was riding and working on motorcycles.

We know he will be reuniting and rejoicing with his father, Eural Lewis, his sister, Sandy Ross, and his niece, Shaun Ross Owens.

Survivors include his mother, Delores Lewis of Henderson, Kentucky; his sister, Barbara Elpers and her husband, Harold, of Henderson, Kentucky; two sons, Shanie Lewis and Travis Lewis Garafalo; grandchildren; cousins; and nephews.
