Dorothy "Dotty" Liles, 90, a lifelong resident of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  In 2016, Dotty retired from volunteering after a lifetime of sharing her time and talent at the church.  Her career began at Holy Name School as secretary and PE teacher many years ago.  Her volunteerism reached into many areas of ministry, including Vocation Advocate, Koinoia, Cemetery, Eucharist Minister, ARISE, RENEW, boards/councils, and other ministries too numerous to mention.  For the last 20 plus years, Dotty served in the parish office as a vital member of the parish staff.  After more than 20 years as a payroll administrator, Dotty retired from Accuride.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jean Liles; one daughter, Kathy Liles Solomon; one grandson, Jason Solomon; and one brother, Charles Frederick Gorman, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine L. Combs and her husband, Robert, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Charlene L. Bailey and her husband, Jim, of Wilmington, North Carolina; one son, Tony Liles and his wife, Karen, of Henderson, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Krista Combs Thompson, Kelly Combs Nunley, Kyle Bailey, Jessica Solomon Ranes, Megan Bailey Darmody, Meredith Liles Havlin, Margaret Liles Adams, and Madeline Liles; fourteen great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and until noon Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
