Donald Thomas "Donnie" Fowler, 72, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home.

He was born in Smith Mills, Kentucky, on August 16, 1945.  Donnie worked for Sitex for 28 years.  He was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid reader and loved history.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Fowler and Jessie Earline Byrd Fowler.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sue Hoffman Fowler; six children, Thomas Fowler and his wife, Kim, of Henderson, Kentucky, Mara Beth Cravens and her husband, Barry, of Louisville, Kentucky, Twila Fowler Beck and her husband, Jarrod, of Evansville, Indiana, David Allen Woodard and his wife, Shelly, of Reed, Kentucky, Steven Craig Woodard and his wife, Susie, of Evansville, Indiana, and Jamia S. Woodard of Henderson, Kentucky; two sisters, Theresa Mt. Pleasant of Buffalo, New York, and Frances Jean Rasentraktor of California; one brother, William Leon Fowler of Evansville, Indiana; his faithful companion, Bow; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
