Charline Walker Staples, 90, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

Charline was born in Henderson on May 25, 1933, to the late William Benjamin Walker and Nora Robbins Walker.  She was a 1951 graduate of Barrett Manual Training High School and a 1955 graduate of Western Kentucky University.  She was a lifelong educator who felt honored to have served Henderson County Schools for thirty years as a teacher and elementary school principal.

In addition to her parents, Charline was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Staples; brothers, William Walker Jr. and James N. Walker; sisters, Nadine West and Dorothy Hoggard; brothers-in-law, Robert West, Gene Hoggard, and Eugene Staples; and infant grandson, John Isaac Brunner.

Charline is survived by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Ulvester and Marianne Walker, and her three children, Karen Brunner (Roy), Kim Marshall (Rick), and Michael Staples (Marianne Darity), all of Henderson, KY.

In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Walker Brunner (Hayley), Cody Brunner (Mackenzie Brantley), Nora Bryant (Tevin), McCallister Brunner (Myron Ricketson), Tyler Boswell (Anne), Ellen Duke (Seth), Ashley Marshall, Logan Staples (Mary), and Ann Michael Meador (Preston); eight great-grandchildren with two more to arrive soon; and nieces and nephews.

Per Charline's wish, there will be no service or visitation.

Entombment will be in Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.
