Carol Ann Ranta, 79, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025.

She was born February 13, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Willie and Dorothy Austin.  For 20 years, Carol worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Kentucky.  She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Henderson, where she sang in the choir.  Carol enjoyed ballet and yoga.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kirk; two children, Brett Gray and his wife, Sheryl, and Kendra Gray and her husband, Sean Wilder, both of Henderson, Kentucky; one granddaughter, MacKenzie Wilder; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Frazier.

Memorial services will be at ll:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at The Presbyterian Church of Henderson.  The Reverend Eric Hoey will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
