Billy E. Vaughn, 85, of Hebbardsville, Kentucky, passed away at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Bluff City, Kentucky.  Billy was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed all outdoor activities.  He was also a Korean War U.S. Marine Corps veteran.  Billy was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elaine Vaughn, who died January 28, 2008; and his parents, Benjamin F. Vaughn and Pauline Hart.

Survivors include three children, Billy D. Vaughn of Springfield, Missouri, Frank Vaughn and his wife, Cyndy, of Hebbardsville, Kentucky, and Cecilia Vaughn Carter and her husband, David, of Warren, Ohio; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  The Reverend Dan Book will officiate.  Full military rites will be performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
