Betty Jo Gatten, 88, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away at 1:26 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Betty Jo was a teacher's aide at Center Grade School.  She was a talented baker, crafter, and candy maker and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Colonial Assisted Living.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Gatten, who died November 12, 2015, on their 66 ^th wedding anniversary; her parents, Clarence Drury and Bertha Drury Edmondson; one brother, Thomas Jerome Drury; and one great-grandson, Alex Harpole.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane Fox and her husband, Fred, of Dunnellon, Florida, Pattie Shockley and her husband, Rick, and Paula Morris and her husband, David, both of Henderson, Kentucky, and Penny Oakley and her husband, Greg, of Louisville, Kentucky; 11grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Thursday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Louis Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Robert Morris, Chad Shockley, Aiden Harpole, Jerrod Thomas, Brandon Goodale, Chris Bowen, Brian King, and Paul Harpole.
