Bettie Joy Schuette Christofoli, 84, of Henderson, Kentucky, died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on October 25, 1936, to the late Frederick J. Schuette and Marie M. Schuette.  She was a retired Chicago School Teacher and a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers' Association and Henderson County Retired Teachers' Association.  Bettie was a Kentucky Colonel.  She was also a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Philip L. Christofoli, who died April 23, 2011.

Survivors include her daughter, Alison Christofoli of Hampton, Virginia; two brothers, Michael M. Schuette and his wife, Debra, of Poole, Kentucky, and Dr. Frederick J. Schuette, Jr., and his wife, Silvia, of Louisville, Kentucky; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  The Reverend Rick Nollmann will officiate.  Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
