Bertha L. Warner, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away early on the morning of Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the age of 70 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

Bertha was born in Hebbronville, Texas, on September 10, 1947.  She earned her undergraduate degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and later received a Master's degree in Education from Western Kentucky University.  She served as a guidance counselor for Webster County and Union County school systems in Kentucky.

Bertha worked for many years helping raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital through Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) sorority, where she was a past Kentucky State President and an officer for ESA International.

Bertha was preceded in death by her mother, Alicia Garza Ramos, and her father, Francisco Ramos, both of Corpus Christi, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Michael Warner; her daughter, Laura Hartwig of Lexington, South Carolina; her son, James Michael Warner of San Diego, California; four grandchildren, Jordan Hartwig of Belton, Texas, Aria Hartwig of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, and Dylan Warner and Lucia Warner, both of San Diego, California.  She is also survived by two sisters, Rosie Ramos of Pt. Neches, Texas, and Iris Ramos of Austin, Texas; one brother, Frank Ramos of Antioch, California; and nieces and nephews.
