Audrey M.
Shults
Aug 13, 1937 — Feb 25, 2021
Henderson
Audrey M. Shults, 83, of Henderson, Kentucky, loving wife of Mack Shults, was called home while listening to the song "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling."
She was surrounded by loved ones singing, crying, grieving, and rejoicing her arrival in the arms of Jesus as well as her loving granddaughter, Beca, her mother and father, Frank and Lizzy Minor, and others.
In her last words, she was always making sure her family was okay and well fed. Audrey always asked about family and especially the little ones. She had to check to see if everyone had their needs met and were praying, praising, and going to church.
Every Christmas we all laughed and dragged our feet as she led us around the neighborhood singing carols and delivering fruit to shut-ins and other neighbors. Audrey enjoyed sending cards for each holiday to all of her great-grandchildren. She also had to recognize over 65 birthdays each year.
Audrey is well known as the most selfless, kindest, generous, loving, and godly woman to ever walk this earth. She was so loved that three children bare her name and three Brazilian cities have awarded her with Honorary Citizenship representing their great respect for Audrey and Mack. The music school at Campo Limpo, their home church in Brazil, and a building at the seminary were both named after her for her love and dedication to music education.
Her legacy is one to be treasured. Audrey leaves behind more loved ones than could possibly be named. Her seven siblings remain very close and have always been amazingly supportive.
Mack and Audrey Shults celebrated their 65 th wedding anniversary in 2020. They were blessed with six children and added a baby sister while in Brazil where they served as Baptist Missionaries for 34 years.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Mack, and seven children, Tena, Marcellus, Aneta, Travis, Justin, Renee, and Ana Cristina. She is also survived by seven siblings, Ray Carl, James, Ken, Sam, Carolyn, Lois, and Frankie. Mack and Audrey are blessed with 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Audrey lived this life well and will be greatly missed by all those she impacted along the way. She wants all to know and love God. She sure loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She was a true example of our Jesus and for sure the hands and feet of Jesus on earth.
