Dr. Anthony "Tony" Strawn, 69, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023.

He was born February 24, 1954, in Princeton, Indiana, to the late Charles and Ada Strawn.  Tony was a 1972 graduate of Princeton High School and a 1976 graduate of Murray State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.  He also received a Master's Degree from University of Evansville in 1979 and a Doctorate from Murray State University in 2019.  For more than 43 years, Tony was a professor at Henderson Community College and advisor for The Hill Newspaper.  Positively impacting students' lives was his passion.  He was also a member of City Lions Club and participated in Henderson Leadership Initiative.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pap and Ida Ingler; and his aunt and uncle, Carl and Alma Selby.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Margaret Strawn; one son, Todd Strawn and his wife, Emily, of California; and a loving extended family.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Private family burial will be in Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, and until service time Friday at the funeral home.
