Annette Henderson Stokes, 85, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Zion, Kentucky, on November 18, 1937, to the late Daniel Shacklett Henderson and Elizabeth Martina Byrne Henderson.  She was a 1955 graduate of Holy Name High School.  Annette enjoyed entertaining at her home, traveling, painting, and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Edward Stokes; and one sister, Patricia Henderson Hagan.

Survivors include four daughters, Rebekah Stokes Wood of Henderson, Kentucky, Edythe Stokes Mays and her husband, Owen, of Henderson, Kentucky, Regina "Gina" Stokes Butler and her husband, Harold, of Lake Wales, Florida, and Nancy Elaine Stokes Floyd and her husband, Randy, of Henderson, Kentucky; one sister, Josephine Henderson of Henderson, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father John M. Thomas will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, and until 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Monday by Deacon John Prough.

Pallbearers will be Josh Thompson, Caleb Wood, Bryce Evans, Brayden Conrad, Brock Crook, Tanner Pruitt, Forrest Davis, and Jace Spence.

In lieu of flowers, please just love one another, call and check on your family and friends, and practice random acts of kindness.
