Amy Elizabeth Carter Skaggs, 57, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on July 11, 1969.  Amy attended Henderson County Senior High School.  She was an excellent cook and loved UK Basketball.  Most importantly, Amy loved her family and was a great "Mimi."  She was a protector of all.

She was preceded in death by two nephews, Noah Kelley and Joshua Jackson Kelley, and her loving dog, Harley Jo.

Survivors include her husband, Chris; two children, Morgan Bhardwaj and her husband, Vinny, and Dakota "Kota" Scott and his companion, Cailey Neel; her father, Virgil Carter and his wife, Lynn; three sisters, Angele Green, Amanda Durnil, and Ashley "Katie" Carter; three grandchildren, Vedika "Toot Toot" Bhardwaj, Vardaan Bhardwaj, and Odin Stewart; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky.  Father William R. Thompson will officiate.

There will be no visitation.
