Agnes Mongold Marchand, 89, of Henderson, Kentucky, died Sunday, December 6, 2020.

Agnes was born in Nashville, Tennessee, November 8, 1931.  She moved to Henderson, Kentucky, in 1962.  She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  She volunteered her service at the church and at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School where her children were enrolled.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John H. Marchand, Jr.; her parents, Louis and Marian Mongold; and her brother, Louis Mongold, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Linda Sanchez and her husband, Michael, of Tampa, Florida, Diane Bies of Evansville, Indiana, Vicki Marchand of Louisville, Kentucky, and John Marchand, III, and his wife, Ursula, of Richland, Michigan; six grandchildren, Alex, Gretchen, and Nicole Bies and Ava, John IV, and Luke Marchand; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Chad Bies.

Due to current restrictions on gatherings, a private family funeral service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

A celebration of her life will be held in the future.
